Anambas Island

Anambas is a small island in Indonesia, located in the South China Sea between eastern and western Malaysia and Kalimantan. Collection of this island is part of the Riau Islands Province, and sometimes included in larger Natuna Islands, located several hundred miles to east and now forming their own district since 2009.Anambas have large reserves of natural gas is exported to countries such as Singapore and Malaysia. Matak island is the main base for oil exploration.

Other islands are Siantan (Tarempa), Mubur, Jemaja districts and Kiabu (Airabu) Anambas located in Batam Island, which is very famous among lovers of snorkeling and diving. As noted Herman Ho (Managing Director of Boat Asia 2012), which is the Lower Island's main island Anambas Islands, is an uninhabited island with a natural lagoon surrounded by a stretch of clear blue water and beautiful coral. Further into the hinterland, there is a giant waterfall and secluded recreation magnificent. In addition, there is also the wreck of "Seven Heaven" and "Igara" which sank in these waters so that it becomes at once the palace magnetbagi divers to various marine biota. 

The worldwide tourist area Anambas Islands is a lagoon or sea water lake separated from the open sea because of the landscape that formed it. Down on the island, the lagoon is formed by a group of islands in the middle of the open sea. When sea water is receding the islands will be connected sand ridge forming a barrier between the sea water inside and outside the cluster of islands. Sea water is very clear in this area of the surface water which can be clearly seen to the bottom of the lagoon, including reef fish. These form the basis of the lagoon and white sand with the distribution of coral reefs in the number of points.

Currently the Lower Laguna Island has been visited by tourists even though the amount is still not much. They are generally foreign tourists who use the yacht or small sailing boat. Local governments put a Anambas Islands regency and the development orientation of the Lower Laguna Island prepared to be the pioneer that will raise the potential for marine tourism area.

Anambas islands have sparkling white sand beaches and the beautiful with crystal clear sea water filled with coral reefs. There is also a beach with palm trees along the vegetation line of 8 kilometers. In addition, a number of islands here as on the island of Pulau Mangkai Keramut and a habitat for sea turtles.
